Closed-cell Spray Foam

Closed-cell foam is much denser than open-cell foam. The cells are pressed together tightly, this is why air and moisture are unable to get inside of the foam. Because of this, closed-cell is considered more rigid than open-cell.

Closed-cell foam is designed to expand 1” of the thickness when it is sprayed on a surface.

This is the best choice if you are looking for robust insulating and space may be an issue. The closed-cell will even act as a vapor barrier, which means water and moisture is much less likely to get inside of your home.
